Sending Attachments via SMS

If your subscription allows, it's possible to send attachments (e.g. .jpg, .png, .pdf) via SMS to your recipients. Here's how...

Start by going to Messages in the main side menu and then click on New Message:

Once you have selected your Sender ID and recipient list, scroll down to the Message Content section where you should see an option named Send a file (SMS+URL)

Click on this to open the file upload box

Either click the box to select the file you wish to upload, or just drag & drop it from it's location into the upload box.

Remember - the maximum file size is 410kb and only .png, .jpg, .gif and .pdf file formats are supported.

Once you've done this, you should see link text appear in the message content field:

You can now add your message to the content (we recommend adding your message text above the link text so it makes more sense on a message preview on the recipient's phone and doesn't get disregarded as spam or jargon)

You can now send the message as you would normally.

When the message is received, the message will appear as a normal text accompanied by a shortened URL:

When the recipient clicks the URL, the file will open (the actual experience will vary depending on the recipient's mobile operating system).
