Familiar Senders allows organisations to personalise their communication with a single recognised touch point. Familiar Sender creates familiarity and trust by enabling you to have a single conversation with customers. It ensures you always use the same from phone number for every recipient, even if your business uses a shared rotary of numbers.
Overview
How it Works
Familiar sender is turned on by default for all accounts.
When a user sends a message to a recipient the From number and the recipient's mobile number mapping is stored for future communication, allowing the recipient to engage in a conversation with the same number building trust and recognition.
Expires after 180 days: Familiar Sender mapping for a number is deleted after 180 days of inactivity.
45-day reply path: Please note that a recipient will only be able to reply to your message up to 45 days after your most recent sent message. After this, the reply path is forgotten and a recipient will be unable to reply to your message (they will receive a bounce-back to contact you using another method). Once you have sent the recipient another message, they'll have another 45 days to reply.
